Kitchen Perspectives

Kitchen Perspectives

While putting away the clean dishes from the dishwasher, the Holy Spirit interrupted my thoughts and asked me, “Why does Satan hate mankind so much?” It was actually a rhetorical question because He answered it for me. He said, “Because we (mankind) were created differently than he was. He was created to worship God without intimacy, as an image of God but not in the image of God. He was given free will but without a chance of repentance. One-and-done!”

On the other hand, we were made in God’s image and created for intimacy. We were given a choice to love Him through accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Even if we turned away and rebelled against God or failed to love Him, we could choose to repent and receive His love—Jesus’—and His forgiveness. Repentance would restore our relationship with God. Like those dirty dishes in the dishwasher, we were washed clean by the soap of His cleansing blood and the washing of His Word, and then we were dried off by the breath of His love.

We were created to love Him and for Him to love us back. The angels were created to serve Him and us.  God still loves them. He loves all of His creation.

Satan hates God’s love for us! He despises us. He wanted to have our status. He actually wanted to be God. He wanted to be above the humans; after all, he was created before us. Satan was never satisfied that God created him for a beautiful purpose. God loved him and his worship. Lucifer (Satan) wanted more, but “the more” in his unsatisfied heart gave way to the birthing of pride. Pride then birthed rebellion, destroying any love that might have been in him to worship his Creator. Hate consumed him! His image was shattered. He no longer was an image of God; he was unrecognizable. He became his own abominable image—separated FOREVER from his Creator—the image of the Beast.

“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.’”   -Isaiah 14:12-15

I am so grateful that God created us in His image. That we were created to be vessels for honor and that He chose us. He loves me, and He loves you! We always have a chance to be forgiven; it is not a one-and-done for those who have accepted Jesus. God’s love always restores us because we are chosen!

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give it to you.  –John 15:16

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the Excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. -1 Peter 2:9

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren.  -Romans 8:29

What a precious inheritance and our blessed hope! We were made in His image—the image of God.

The enemy’s diabolical plans are starting to unfold. But, arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you! The enemy hates mankind. He is jealous of us, and his rebellion and pride fuel his wrath. He knows that it is one-and-done for him! His mission is to destroy us, but God has a commission for us! We are commissioned because this end time season is the darkest of the dark, and the enemy knows that his time is short. But except for God . . .He has given us authority, and we have been commissioned to be His image bearers on the earth. Wow! We were born in the greatest time in His-Story (History)  for such a time as this!

What is our commission? It is a great commission with a common and not-so-common mission—spreading the message of Jesus Christ, Messiah, and Savior—bringing others to the saving knowledge of Christ. This is our commission.

Thank You, God, for creating us to love and worship You. Thank You for giving us free will to love You with the chance of forgiveness through repentance. Thank You for creating us in Your image. Your love is unmeasurable for us!

Your blood speaks a better Word! Thank You for Your sacrifice for us, Jesus, for giving up Your body and shedding Your blood so that we could be redeemed and remain as an image bearer of You.

And P.S. Holy Spirit, thank You for interrupting me in the midst of my housework and for giving me Kitchen Perspectives and Revelations. Thank You for washing me with Your Word, and the dishes are clean too!

Blessings!
